I put Suhr pickups in my Anderson Drop Top recently (2 v60lp and an SSV in the bridge) and I absolutely love them! I want to get rid of the switcheroo board and replace it with a more simplified wiring (don't need 3 ways on all pickups) while adding the backplate SSC. Here's a picture of the current switching configuration: Here's what I'm going for: 1) neck switch: turn neck single off/on with ground redirected to backplate virtual ground 1 2) middle switch: turn middle single off/on with ground redirected to backplate virtual ground 1 3) bridge switch: turn bridge humbucker off/split with ground redirected to backplate virtual ground 2 4) blower: when on, series bridge only using non-backplate ground. The only config that needs to see a 500K pot is when the blower switch is on.
A 250 pot is used for non-blower usage. (This is the correct usage for v60lp and split SSV, right?) There is a single volume and tone that is global for all pickups. Any help/suggestions are appreciated. I want to go ahead and wire it all up while I'm waiting for the BPSSC to show up.
Mar 23, 2013 - Suhr's Hum Cancelling System has been written about here. I would like to install the BPSSC 'Back Plate Silent Single Coil' from John Suhr but. Feb 22, 2012 New Suhr SSC system (ver II). Discussion in 'Guitars in General' started by Crow, Jan 31, 2012.

Need to explicitly get the volume and tone circuit in there: Last edited by GaryMcT on Tue Jun 27, 2006 12:19 am; edited 1 time in total GaryMcT Joined: 28 Jan 2006 Posts: 188 Posted: Mon Jun 26, 2006 11:42 pm Post subject: Should the 470K Ohm resistor be before or after the BPSSC on the way to ground to make the singles and the split humbucker see a 250K volume pot? I made the connections to the BPSSC more explicit: GaryMcT Joined: 28 Jan 2006 Posts: 188 Posted: Tue Jun 27, 2006 7:11 pm Post subject:. Once I get the back plate, I should be able to write it trivially. Here's the diagram that I ended up using. See any problems with how the back plate is integrated?
The three grounds that would go to the back plate go to the common ground unti I get the back plate: BoraBora Joined: 05 Jun 2005 Posts: 407 Location: Los Angeles, CA Posted: Thu Jul 13, 2006 9:41 pm Post subject: Very nice looking diagram Gary.
